How to Eliminate Your Bad Breath

Posted .

Bad breath can be very annoying, and it tends to haunt people. If you’re one of the haunted, you may be in search of ways to eliminate your halitosis, or chronic bad breath. You’ve come to the right place. Here are some tips:

-Stay on top of your oral hygiene routine. The American Dental Association states that it’s best to brush your teeth every morning and every night, floss your teeth every night, and use antibacterial mouthwash daily. After you’ve brushed your teeth, don’t forget to brush your tongue as well. This will wash away foul-smelling particles from your mouth.

-Attend your six-month checkups with Dr. Douglas Doran. If your bad breath is a side effect of periodontal disease, these checkups are all the more important. Even if that is not the case, your dental cleanings can give your mouth a deep clean in areas that are difficult for you to reach on your own.

-Clean your removable dental appliances. Whether wear dentures, a retainer or a mouth guard, you’ll want to clean them every day, or each time you wear them. Otherwise the bacteria from your mouth and the appliance will cause bad breath.

If you need any assistance whatsoever with any of these things, please don’t be afraid to give Rivereast Dental Group in Marlborough, Connecticut a call. When you dial 860.295.9536, our dental team will be happy to help you in any way we can. We look forward to hearing from you!
